Our community of Excelsior, on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, is a special place to live, work and play. Throughout downtown Excelsior many of the buildings are on the National Registry of Historic Places. The main drag, Water Street, is five blocks long and filled with many boutiques. There is a bookstore, many clothing stores, a swimsuit shop, a brand-new flower shop and of course Fleurish! There are also two hotels in town, a brewery, and a public library.
On the food scene you can find wonderful restaurants including a pizza restaurant, sushi, burgers, tacos, yummy salads and fabulous dinner options. There are several coffee shops on Water Street and two ice cream stores!
Events dot the Excelsior spring and summer schedule starting with a Lego pub crawl on April 27. Don’t miss Burgers and BINGO scheduled for May 4 which raises money for the 4th of July fireworks celebration on Lake Minnetonka. The second annual South Lake garage sale is on May 9-11.
